Description	:	Josephine Ellas Josephine Ellas, 81, of Temple, died Sunday, Sept. 23, at a Temple hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home in Manhattan, Kan. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in Upland, Kan. Mrs. Ellas was born in Coffey County, Kan., to Joseph A. Brown and Ada Mae Grey Brown and was reared in Junction City, Kan. Brown and Ada Mae Grey Brown and was reared in Junction City, Kan. She attended the Brookside school, Junction City High School and Kansas State University. She had been the County Treasurer for Geary County and had also worked for J.C. Penney, Manhattan Christian College and the University Christian Church in Manhattan. She was married to Allen E. Ellas in 1943 and was a member of the University Christian Church Women's Association, Beta Sigma Phi, E.H.U, Pilot Club International, Republican Women and the Riley County Genealogical Society H.D.U. She had lived in Temple the past two years and was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Temple, Contemporaries of the Cultural Activities Center and the Grace Presbyterian Church Women's Circle. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gayla Charmaine Ellas. Mrs. Ellas is survived by her husband, Allen E. Ellas of Temple; a daughter, Carla Renee Ellas Stanley of Temple; a brother, Harold Brown of Santa Ana, Calif.; a sister, Ruth Upham Tyson of Raytown, Md.; and two grandchildren.
