Description	:	Almon Watson, 87 FARMINGTON - Almon Watson, 87, of Industry died Aug. 26, 2006 at Sandy River Center for Health Care in Farmington. I He was born July 25, 1919 in Industry, the son of George and Julia (Spinney) Watson. He was educated in the Schools of Industry. In March 1941 Almon married Phyllis Rand in Vermont. From the age of 15 he worked with his future father-in-law in the saw mill in Industry. When Elbridge passed Almon bought the mill and changed the name from Rand Bros. Saw Mill to A.L. Watson & Co. He operated it... Read More	Almon Watson, 87 FARMINGTON - Almon Watson, 87, of Industry died Aug. 26, 2006 at Sandy River Center for Health Care in Farmington. I He was born July 25, 1919 in Industry, the son of George and Julia (Spinney) Watson. He was educated in the Schools of Industry. In March 1941 Almon married Phyllis Rand in Vermont. From the age of 15 he worked with his future father-in-law in the saw mill in Industry. When Elbridge passed Almon bought the mill and changed the name from Rand Bros. Saw Mill to A.L. Watson & Co. He operated it until his retirement in 1985 when his son Elbridge took over. He enjoyed all types of outdoor recreation including hunting, fish¬ing, camping, and snowmobiling. Later he enjoyed walking a mile every morning, gardening, spend¬ing time with his family and close, pets, going to fairs, and had a hobby of raising beef cattle. Almon is survived by his wife Phyllis of 65 years; a daughter Rebecca Probert and her companion Kenneth Johnson of Starks; a son Elbridge Watson Sr. and his wife Sandra L. of Industry; four grandchildren; Lynda, Tammy Sue, Elbridge Jr; and Sandra; seven great grandchildren; one sister Joyce Mason of Mass., and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a son Dennis Watson. A graveside service was held; Aug. 30 at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. John Tolman officiating.
