Description	:	INDUSTRY - Phyllis R. Watson, 88, of Industry passed peacefully on March 1, 2012, at Sandy River Center for Health Care & Rehabilitation in Farmington. She was born April 17, 1923, in Farmington, the daughter of Elbridge J. and Harriet B. (Leeman) Rand. She was educated in the schools of Farmington, and married Almon L. Watson. As a young lady, she worked at Hidden Acres Dairy Bar in Farmington, then at Chassie Clothing store. After marriage she worked with her husband, Almon, and kept the books for their sawmill, known as Watson's Mill, where they made harwood furniture stock squares.... Read More	INDUSTRY - Phyllis R. Watson, 88, of Industry passed peacefully on March 1, 2012, at Sandy River Center for Health Care & Rehabilitation in Farmington. She was born April 17, 1923, in Farmington, the daughter of Elbridge J. and Harriet B. (Leeman) Rand. She was educated in the schools of Farmington, and married Almon L. Watson. As a young lady, she worked at Hidden Acres Dairy Bar in Farmington, then at Chassie Clothing store. After marriage she worked with her husband, Almon, and kept the books for their sawmill, known as Watson's Mill, where they made harwood furniture stock squares. They worked the mill together for years until their son, Buddy, took it over. In the fall for many years, she worked in the ticket booth and office at the Farmington Fair. Phyllis enjoyed keeping a vegetable garden and canning much of what was harvested. She also enjoyed camping, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. She was a member of the West Farmington Grange and the Industry Extension. Phyllis also played the organ at the Community Church of West Mills. Surviving her is a daughter, Rebecca W. Probert, and companion Kenneth Johnson, of Industry (West Mills); a son, Elbridge G. "Buddy" Watson, and wife Sandra, of Industry; grandchildren Lynda Vogt and husband Kevin of Henderson, Nev., Elbridge Watson Jr. and wife Terry of New Sharon, Sandra Hyde and husband Billy of Industry, and Tammy Rosco of Oakland; great-grandchildren David, Missie, Sara, Juliana, Nichola and Nathan; and brother-in-law Arthur Webb. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Almon; a son, Dennis; and a sister, Eulita. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Fairview Cemetery in Farmington. (Morning Sentinel 3/7/2012)
