Description	:	Almuth was the daughter of Johann Fass (1797-1866)(R.S.1610) and Anna Catherine Luken (1801-1857)(R.S.2079). Johann and Anna had six children: 1) Albert Behrends Fass, b. Oct. 24, 1828, Wiesederfehn, Oestfriesland, Germany and d. Feb. 27, 1832, same place. 2) Albert Behrends Fass 1832-1912 b. June 21, 1832 same place, d.Jan. 11, 1912, Nemaha County, NE. 3) Almuth Catherina Fass, (3863 and 6554 R.S.) 4) Johann Hinrich Fass. (1618 RS) b. Jan. 9, 1838 Wiesederfehn, Oestf. Harm/Harmon/Herman married 06Sep1885 at Sterling, Johnson, NE to Gesche Schoen/Shon 1835-1913. They had no children. Herman died 23Sep1918 in Lincoln and is buried in Saint John North Lutheran Cemetery at Sterling. 6) Johann Behrens Fass. b. May 8, 1843, Wiesederfehn, Oestf. Germany. d. May 10, 1844, same place. Almuth first married Anton Janssen (R.S.3863) 12Apr1860 at Reepsholt, but that marriage was annulled. She second married Johann Harms Weber (R.S.6554) on 22Oct1861 at Etzel, Hannover, Prussia. They had a daughter, Meta Margaret "Maggie" in 1863 and the three of them came to America in 1864, accompanied by Johann's sister, Catherine Weber, and Almuth's brother, Harmon Heinrich Fass. Once in Nebraska, they had two more daughters, Anna and Mary. Johann Weber is thought to have died about 1873. Almuth third married Johann Diedrich Janssen about 1874 at Sterling, NE. 1874 was also the year that the Immanuel Lutheran Church was started by Almuth's husband, D. Janssen, her cousin, Charles (Claas) Behrends Foss 1832-1912, and others. They had one daughter, Maria Catherine "Tina" Janssen/Johnson. Maggie married Garrit Wehmer in 1883. Anna married Henry Wiemers in 1889. Mary married Hermann Dissmeyer in 1892. Tina married Eilert Boden in 1893. These four daughters are all mentioned in the obituary of their uncle, Hermann/Harm/Harmon Heinrich Fass 1840-1918. Almuth died on September 19, 1900 and was laid to rest in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, three miles west of Sterling. All of the German information provided is from the Reepsholt Parish Church Book (R.S.).
