Almyra Fox (71560142) Suggested edit: Almyra Shuck was born February 12th, 1846, in Athens County, Ohio. When a young woman, she moved with her parents to Calia County and on October 10th, 1869 she was united in marriage to Joseph G. Fox. To this union were born seven children, two sons and five daughters; six of whom survive her: E. L. and E. D. Fox, Mrs. W. A. Churchill and Mrs. J. D. Shackleford of Geneva; Mrs. L. R. Wolverton of Shelton, Neb., and Mrs. H. C. Miller of Carleton, Neb. Mrs. C. F. Jesse preceded her in death, October 26, 1908. There were four step-children, two of whom survive, Robert Fox of Geneva and Mrs. Wesley Stephenson of Moorefield, Neb. There are also twenty-three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, W. W. Shuck of Elm Creek, Neb. She united with the Christian Church at Fairview, O., when quite young, and remained a member to the end. She led a very quiet retired live, always thinking of and doing for others. She had been in failing health for several months, but was bedfast only a few days and passed peacefully at 6:45 a.m. February 4th, at her home in Geneva at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 22 days. The funeral service was conducted at her home in Geneva yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock, George W. Caughran, minister of the Christian Church officiating. The burial was in the Geneva Cemetery.
