Read More	SOURCE: The Nebraska Signal November 1963 FOX, EDMOND L.—Edmond L. Fox, son of Joseph and Almyra Fox, was born in Gallipolis, O., April 20, 1875. He departed this life in Geneva, Neb., November 16, 1963, at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 27 days. He passed away unexpectedly as he was putting on his shoes early in the morning. Mr. Fox came to Nebraska with his parents in 1885, locating on a farm southeast of Geneva. February 16, 1902, he was united in marriage to Minnie Nelson. To this union were born two sons, Earl and George. Mr. and Mrs. Fox farmed in Chelsea township for many years; ant then moved to Geneva, where Ed was employed by the W. C. Peterson Implement Co., and later at the Earl Wilkins home. After his retirement he kept active around his home and took a great interest in his garden. He was a member of the First Methodist church of Geneva. He joined the Modern Woodman of America as a young man and just recently received his 50-year pin as an active member. He was also an officer of this organization. Mr. Fox leaves to mourn his departure, his wife Minnie, two sons, Earl and wife LaVerne of Whittier, Cal., and George and wife Hazel of Salinas, Cal., four granddaughters and two great-granddaughters, also many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, November 19, at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva with Rev. Alden B. Sears of the First Methodist church of Geneva officiating. Mrs. Roger Witt of Syracuse, accompanied by Mrs. Oscar Nelson of Geneva sang "In the Garden" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Pallbearers were Melvin Anderson, Royal Anderson, Howard Jesse, Oscar Nelson, Richard Nunns and Leo Ochsner. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
