She was born Sept. 6, 1926, at Burlingame, the daughter of Otto and Agnes Mary McMurdo Kiwitter. She attended Barkley Grade School and was graduated from Osage City High School in 1945. Mrs. Manwaring was married to Arthur Hoffman on March 15, 1947, in Ottawa. He died Oct. 24, 1973. She was married to Joseph E. Manwaring on Jan. 12, 1975, in Barkley. He survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Mary Bartley, Lebo, Alberta Hoffman and Donna Smith, Osage City, and Sandra Davis, Auburn; a son, Billy Hoffman, Osage City; two stepdaughters, Connie CRockett, Osage City, and Deborah McCullough, Harveyville; a stepson, Billy Manwaring, Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and three step-great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery west of Richland. Mrs. Manwaring will lie in state from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home in Overbrook and after 9:30 a.m. Monday until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Osage Fire District No. 4 Emergency Medical Services, and sent in care of the funeral home, Overbrook, Kan., 66524.
