Description	:	ST. PAUL — Alta June Cook, 89, of St. Paul, formerly of Greeley, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Brookefield Park in St. Paul. All Faiths Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Private family burial of ashes will take place at the Greeley Cemetery at a later date. June was born on June 28, 1926 at Emmet, one of four daughters, to Henry and Claire (Crandall) Pruss. She was raised in O’Neill where she graduated from high school. On June 12, 1951, she was united in marriage to Patrick J. Cook. The couple made their home in Greeley where they raised their five children. June was employed as the director of Health and Human Services of Greeley County for many years. After her retirement, June put her organization skills to good use and worked as the office manager at the Greeley Care Home. June was a member of the Red Hat Society in Greeley. She was a talented artist, loved music and enjoyed collecting angel figurines. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Patrick L. (Diana) Cook of Grand Island, John (Sue) Cook of Grand Island, Bernard (Jeannie) Cook of St. Paul, Mary (Brad) Wentzlaff of Grand Island and June (Dave) Prokesh of Grand Island; sisters, Carol Keyes and Verna Pruss, both of Inman; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Patrick J. Cook; older sister, Margaret Pruss; and brother-in-law, Don Keyes.
