Mrs. Bennett was taken Sunday of last week to the Holyoke hospital, where she submitted to an operation Thursday. She died Friday morning. She had been in ill health for several months. Pallbearers were Everett Jaycox, Glen Martin, Milton Deselms, Chester Poe, Guy Poe and Glenn Bradford. Selections were sung by a trio composed of Misses Geraldine and Lois Lutze and Miss Harriet Hudson-"Beautiful Isle" and "No Disappointment in Heaven". During interment at the Holyoke cemetery, a selection was read by Miss Winifred Hudson. Mrs. Bennett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Groseclose, was born in Wray, July 23, 1909. In 1927, she was married to Floyd Likens of Wray. Following their marriage, five children, Doris, Delpha, and twin boys Floyd and Lloyd, who died in infancy, and Dale were born to them. They established their home north of Wray until the time of Mr. Likens' death in March 1934. October 30, 1937, she became the wife of Merle Bennett of Holyoke. Two children, Merle Dean and Barbara Jean were born to this family. They had resided in Pleasant Valley until the time of her death. Besides her husband and children, she is survived by an aged father, Arthur Groseclose, now in a Denver hospital, her mother, Mrs. Arthur Groseclose at her home near Alvin, three brothers, Edgar of Wray and Lloyd and Guffy now in the United States Navy; four sisters; Annie of Denver, Mrs. Nellie Maendl of Haigler, Nebraska, Mrs. Vada Walchle of Wray and Ada of Wray.
