Description	:	Final Rites for Al H. Schipper Funeral services were held at the First Methodist church in Malvern Sunday afternoon for Alva H. Schipper, whose death occurred last Thursday in Omaha, Nebraska. They were conducted by the Rev. Don E. Griffin, with Mansfield Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Serving as pall bearers at the services were L. W. Schipper, Lyle Schipper. Byron Jones, Ben Breeding. Ira Jones and Oscar Belknap. Kenneth Sowers and Gerald Sowers were ushers. Woodward, with Mrs. Vernon Schroder as organist. The Rev. Mr. Griffin read the following life sketch: Alva Harold Schipper, son of Benjamin F. and Jennie Schipper, was born on a farm near Imogene, Iowa, on April 8, 1901. and passed away on Feb. 20, 1958, at the Immanuel Hospital, Omaha, at the age of 56 years, 10 months. Mr. Schipper attended the rural schools of Mills county. On March 3, 1923 he was united in marriage to Erma E. Jones of Red Oak. He became a member of the Malvern Methodist church in November, 1943. Mr. Schipper lived in and around Malvern most of his life, moving to Omaha in 1948, where he lived until his death. Surviving him are his wife, Erma; four children, Duane of Highland, California, Dean of Hastings, Nebraska, Phyllis and Adrian of Omaha, Nebraska; and nine brothers and sisers, Lawrence of Malvern, Hazel Reynolds of Ottumwa, Lyle of Hannibal, Mo., Florence Ringer of Keeline, Wyo., Benjamin and Alice Cox of Los Angeles, Calif., Marvin of Indianola, Iowa, Lucille Finley of Compton, Calif., and Fred of West Covina, Calif.; and also seven grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
