Duet was Cindy and Feme Kempcke. The casket bearers were Gary Tranmer, Jim Gustin, LeRoy Swanda, Jim Webster, Bill Westerhold and Gary Wright. Interment was In the Lyons Cemetery. Tranmer was born May 27, 1911 in Burt County's Silver Creek Township near Bertha, Neb. to Pearl and Edna Agnes (nee Brown) Tranmer. He attended District #51, Tranmer School, and helped on the family farm. He lived with his parents, and in 1975 moved to the Logan Valley Manor in Lyons. At the time of his death he was the resident who had lived there the longest. Alva died Saturday, Feb. 10, 1990 at the Logan Valley Manor at the age of 78 years. He was preceeded in death by his parents, one sister, Arla Tranmer Uhling and one brother, Earl Tranmer. He is survived by one brother, John Tranmer of Lyons and many nieces and nephews.
