Description	:	Tranmer Rites Held Sunday Funeral services were held for Edna Tranmer Sun., Sept. 1, 1974 at the Lyons Presbyterian Church with Pastor Elkan Kemp officiating. Mrs. Jack Moore was the organist. Hymns were sung by Mrs. Russell Kempcke and the congregation. Interment was at the Lyons Cemetery under the direction of the Piper Funeral Home. Mrs Tranmer died at the Logan Valley Manor Aug. 29 at the age of 82 years. Edna Agnes Tranmer was born Jan. 29, 1892 to Maggie McKenzie Brown and Earl W. Brown. She attended school at Divide Center and taught school at Bertha, Mount Pleasant and Gordon before her marriage. She was baptized at Divide Center Church as a youth and later joined the First Presbyterian Church in Lyons where she was an active member. Edna was united in marriage to Pearl G. Tranmer on July 21, 1910 and to this union four children were born They lived in the Bertha community until 1947 when they retired and moved to Lyons, where she was residing at the time of her death. She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, John of Craig, and Alva of Lyons, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pearl, in 1953, her son, Earl, in 1948, her daughter, Arla in 1964, and one grandson in 1941. Published in the Lyons-Mirror-Sun (Lyons, Neb.)
