Burial was in St. Stephen's cemetery (sic) south of Lawrence. Mrs. Krebsbach was born December 15, 1916, at Lawrence. On April 26, 1938, she married Lawrence Krebsbach at Lawrence. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Altar Society, Keen-Agers and American Legion Auxiliary all of Lawrence. Survivors are three daughters, Winifred Walker of Hastings, Doris Hoelting of Lawrence, Marv Kay Shay of Grand Island; a son Don of Lawrence; two sisters, Dorothy Pohlmeier of Plattsmouth and Eileen Kohmetscher of Lawrence; two brothers, Glenn and Gilbert Theer, both of Lawrence; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. ======================= Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Thursday, December 2, 1993; pg.1 Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 24, 1993 for Alvera Krebsbach at Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence. Alvera passed away November 21, 1993 at the Good Samaritan Villa Grace in Hastings. Father McCabe of St. Cecelia parish in Hastings celebrated the Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. Father Bourek also of Hastings gave the homily. Father Au was present in the sanctuary. Linda Ostdiek was organist and Joe Theer led the congregational singing. Serving as pall bearers were grandsons Jerry and Wayne Hoelting; nephews Richard Kohmetscher, Ray Pohlmeier, Bob Theer and Lonnie Theer. Rosary services were Tuesday evening at the church. Burial was in St. Stephen's cemetery (sic). Alvera was born December 15, 1916 at Lawrence, Ne. to Robert and Emma (Rempe) Theer. She attended Sacred Heart School and was a 1934 graduated of Lawrence High School. On April 26, 1938, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Krebsbach. They lived on a farm southwest of Lawrence. To this union four children were born. Lawrence passed away in February 1967. She continued living on the farm until 1969 when she moved to a home in Lawrence. Because of ill health she moved to the Good Samaritan Home in Hastings. Alvera was a kind and loving mother, neighbor and friend, always willing to give a helping hand. She was an active member in the Altar Society, Keen-agers and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two grandchildren. Survivors are three daughters, Winifred Walker of Hastings, Doris Hoelting of Lawrence and Mary Kay Shay of Grand Island; a son Don of Lawrence; two sisters, Dorothy Pohlmeier of Plattsmouth and Eileen Kohmetscher of Lawrence; two brothers Glenn and Gilbert of Lawrence; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
