Description	:	Alvin was the son of Alka and Hilka (Torbeck) Malpert. He was one of 7 children, started his elementary education at a rural school near Ruskin, NE. When his parents moved to Nora, NE. in 1921, he continued his education at the Prairie hall School near Nora. March 3, 1939 he married Julietta P. Allen at Nora, NE. Shortly after their marriage, Alvin and Julietta moved to Johnson, Ne. where he worked as a hired hand for area farms. He later obtained his own farm northwest of Johnson. Shortly after their marriage, Alvin and Julietta moved to Johnson, Ne. where he worked as a hired hand for area farms. He later obtained his own farm northwest of Johnson. Alvin continued to farm until October, 1975 when he retired and moved into Johnson, NE. Sept. 12, 1998 he and his wife moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Auburn, Ne. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Johnson for over 50 years and had served on the church council. He passedaway at the Nemaha County Hospital in auburn. having reached the age of 86 years, six months and 25 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Geraldine; grandson, Phillip; three brothers and one sister. Surviving are his wife, Julietta Malpert, sons, Clifford and Norman, one granddaughter and two great grandchildren. sisters, Edna Oestmann and Irene Haack and husband Louis. sister in law, Mrs. Henry (Neva) Malpert. Services held Oct. 30 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
