Description	:	Mrs Alvina Edler, a resident of this community for many years, passed away at her home at 4:30 Saturday morning after a two weeks illness with heart trouble. Mrs Edler was born on August 5, 1853 at Somonauk, Illinois, and came to this community with her parents when she was only two years old. They settled on a farm near this city and here she was married to John Edler, at the French Grove Lutheran church. They made their home near State Center until 1911 when they moved to town. Read More	Mrs Alvina Edler, a resident of this community for many years, passed away at her home at 4:30 Saturday morning after a two weeks illness with heart trouble. Mrs Edler was born on August 5, 1853 at Somonauk, Illinois, and came to this community with her parents when she was only two years old. They settled on a farm near this city and here she was married to John Edler, at the French Grove Lutheran church. They made their home near State Center until 1911 when they moved to town. Mrs Edler died in 1913. Thirteen children were born to Mr and Mrs Edler, twelve of whom survive. They are Mrs Johanna Riemenschneider, William, Fred, E.C., Albert, Walter and John R Edler of State Center; Mrs H L Lee of DeKalb, Illinois; H A Edler of Janesville, Minnesota; Mrs August Opperman and Mrs Edward LeGrand of Colo and Mrs Ben Miller of Marshalltown. Two sisters and a brother also survive. They are Mrs J H Bockenhauer of Des Plaines, Illinois; Mrs Louis Smith and Edward Eckhardt of this city. Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon from the home and at 2 o'clock from St John's Lutheran church at French Grove, with Rev H C Koepke in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery. July 26, 1928 State Center Enterprise.
