Description	:	Obituary From "Ottumwa Courier," November 28, 1969: Mrs. Alvira (Via) Parks, 82, of 157 N. Willard, died at her home about 8 a.m. Thursday. Death was due to a heart condition according to the attending physician. She had worked as a seamstress in her home for many years. The daughter of George W. and Julia Ann Nicholson Camblin, she was born in Van Buren County June 1, 1887. Death was due to a heart condition according to the attending physician. She had worked as a seamstress in her home for many years. The daughter of George W. and Julia Ann Nicholson Camblin, she was born in Van Buren County June 1, 1887. She had been an Ottumwa resident since 1922, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, No. 112. She married E.G. Parks, who died in 1938. Surviving are one son, George F. Parks of Ottumwa; one daughter, Mrs. Julia Larson of Ottumwa Route 2; and one granddaughter, Carole Ann Parks of Ottumwa. An infant son, three brothers and four sisters are preceded her in death. The service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Ray Kistler, pastor of Plymouth Congregational Church. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gilbert Randolph, Hubert Brunk, Donald Hammond, Dale Morrow, Clarence Pedrick and Dr. G.W. Loerke.
