Parks, 54, a barber here for the last 15 years, died at his home, 207 South Ward street, Sunday at 5 p.m. He was the son of Frank and Mary Parks and was born at Troy, September 6, 1883. Surviving are his wife, Via; a daughter, Julia, at home; a son, George, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Staubus of Ottumwa and Mrs. Mae Loomis of Douds; two brothers, M.L. Services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Johnson's funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Earl Chader of Douds. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery. The casket was taken to the residence at 5 p.m. today. It will be returned to the chapel Tuesday noon.
