Description	:	Amail Herman Peterson was the second child of two born to Adolph Otto Julius Peterson and Agnes Clara JAPP Peterson. Arthur and his brother Amail took the automobile one evening when they were teenagers to go to a barn dance. Unfortunately they had too much to drink and their self-righteous mother and father chastised them so severely that they were never able to "go to town"' at night again. Read More	Amail Herman Peterson was the second child of two born to Adolph Otto Julius Peterson and Agnes Clara JAPP Peterson. Arthur and his brother Amail took the automobile one evening when they were teenagers to go to a barn dance. Unfortunately they had too much to drink and their self-righteous mother and father chastised them so severely that they were never able to "go to town"' at night again. This made it difficult for them to meet women. Unfortunately Amail Peterson also had a farm accident with a pitchfork which put out one of his eyes—giving him a cross eyed effect. With Arthur's deformities and Amail's eye, combined with the permanent curfew their parents placed on the boys, they were never married. The brothers were devoted to each other and lived on the farm, shutting doors to their parents' bedroom and the living room when the parents died and never opening them again. They continued to farm as long as they could and then leased the land to neighbors. They never had indoor plumbing and the farm fell into disrepair by the time the two of them had to be placed in a home in Missouri Valley, shortly before their passing within a year of each other.
