On the 29th of June, she was received into the communion of the Triune God by holy baptism. Becoming of school age, she attended Zion's Christian Day School at Wanda, where she was also confirmed in the year 1894 by the Rev. William Wambsgnass. Read More	"The Hastings Daily Tribune," Aug. 19, 1925 Amelia Maria Anna Bohlke was born on the 8th day of June, 1879, near Holstein, the daughter of Henry Hagemann and his wife, Anna. On the 29th of June, she was received into the communion of the Triune God by holy baptism. Becoming of school age, she attended Zion's Christian Day School at Wanda, where she was also confirmed in the year 1894 by the Rev. William Wambsgnass. On the 9th day of April, 1902, she entered into the bonds of holy wedlock with Henry F. Bohlke. This union was blessed with three children, 2 sons and 1 daughter. Her life, especially during the last ten years, was by no means free of bodily ailments. She passed through serious surgical operations. Besides many other ailments and sufferings, the Lord in His infinite wisdom saw fit to visit her with mental troubles during the past year. Therefore she was removed to Hastings some time ago and placed under the care of a very prominent specialist in the firm belief that expert treatment and care would benefit her and restore her health. However, the Lord's ways are past finding out. About two weeks ago she began to fail more and more. Then she contracted pneumonia. This, together with her other ailments, hastened her end. About 6:00 p.m., August 12, the angels of God carried her weary soul into Abraham's bosom. She attained the age of 46 years, 2 months and 4 days. Her departure is mourned by her grief-stricken husband, two sons, Lawrence and Raymond; and one daughter, Mildred; her father, six brothers, five sisters, and a large number of other relatives and many friends.
