Description	:	Mollie Walter Mollie Walter, 93, passed away March 1, 1993, at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1899, in Frank, Russia, the daughter of Conrad and Alice (Hofferber) Uhrich. She came to America with her family when she was 5 years old and settled in Lincoln, Neb. In 1907, they moved to Billings and she married Adam Walter on Feb. 18, 1918. Read More	Mollie Walter Mollie Walter, 93, passed away March 1, 1993, at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1899, in Frank, Russia, the daughter of Conrad and Alice (Hofferber) Uhrich. She came to America with her family when she was 5 years old and settled in Lincoln, Neb. In 1907, they moved to Billings and she married Adam Walter on Feb. 18, 1918. Out of this blessed union seven children were born. They farmed west of Billings until 1946, when they moved into town. She was a lifelong member of Pilgrim Congregational Church and the Ladies Aid Society. She taught Sunday School for 36 years and dearly loved her church. She enjoyed quilting, baking, gardening and raising flowers. She won many awards at the Fair for her beautiful flowers. She was very devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved the family picnics. A momentous time in her life was when she was a grandmother model for a bronze sculpture which is placed in a retirement home in Portland, Ore. She was active until the time of her death. Her husband, Adam, preceded her in death in October of 1986. Survivors include four sons, Alvin of St. George, Utah, and Herman, Harold and Kenneth, all of Billings; three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Hannah) Robertus Jr., and Mrs. George William (Helen) Reiter, both of Laurel, and Mrs. Gary (Ruth) Armstrong of Billings; 25 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Mrs. Rachel Schoessler. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 1993, at the Pilgrim Congregational Church. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Pilgrim Congregational Church, 409 S. 36th St. Smith Downtown Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
