She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church, After finishing grade school at North Star Dist. 91, she continued her education at Hebron Academay, majoring in music. After finishing the music teacher's course she began her music teaching career, which she pursued for 65 years. After finishing the music teacher's course she began her music teaching career, which she pursued for 65 years. In 1928 she entered Bethany College, Lindsborg College, Lindsborg, KS. as a music major. This was interrupted in 1928 because of the death of her father. She moved to Byron, with her mother to help her care for her aged parents and continued teaching piano and organ students in the Byron area and surrounding towns. She married to William George "W.G." Reinke on July 2, 1933. They established their home in Bryon, William and Amanda owned and operated Reinke Lumber. Byron, Ne. for many years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Byron, Ne. since 1934. After her husband died she lived in an apartment in Hebron, NE. for several years before she became a resident of Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home of Hebron, on August 31. She was preceded in death by her parents. Albert and Emma Hellmer, hr husband, William G. an infant son, Glen Edward, son, Wallace (Wally), sister, Martha Hobelmann, Louise Heitmann and Justine Pohlmann. She is survived by her son, Ronald Reinke, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The funeral was Oct. 3 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Byron, Ne. Interment was in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Byron, Ne. Price Funeral Home of Hebron, was in charge of the arrangements.
