Description	:	Amanda Hilbert was born May 26, 1850 in Rockland Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Her father was Abraham Hilbert and her mother was Christine Yoder Hilbert. Amanda was one of 16 children. After the Civil War was over in 1865 Amanda Hilbert was married at fifteen years old to Wellington Youse who was nineteen years of age. His parents were Adam Youse and Catherine Ann Kiebach Youse. A daughter, Sarah Youse, was born in Richmond Township the year following their marriage. Read More	Amanda Hilbert was born May 26, 1850 in Rockland Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Her father was Abraham Hilbert and her mother was Christine Yoder Hilbert. Amanda was one of 16 children. After the Civil War was over in 1865 Amanda Hilbert was married at fifteen years old to Wellington Youse who was nineteen years of age. His parents were Adam Youse and Catherine Ann Kiebach Youse. A daughter, Sarah Youse, was born in Richmond Township the year following their marriage. A transaction of property bought and sold was recorded in the Berks County Courthouse at Reading, Pennsylvania. In May, 1868, Wellington and Amanda Youse bought property in Longswamp Township from Zacharias Hilbert and wife, Susanna, but sold the property the next year as Wellington Youse decided to join the great numbers who were moving westward. Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, was their home for a few years and about 1880 they left their native State for the State of Kansas. They had six children at the time they located in Allen County, Kansas, where they were to live for the remainder of their lives. Wellington Youse took his family to Oklahoma where he farmed near Chandler for about three years but conditions were not satisfactory so they returned to Allen County in Kansas. Wellington began employment at the Humboldt Brick and Tile Company, which was organized in 1898. Amanda died on April 11, 1926 in Humboldt, Allen County, Kansas. Wellington and Amanda Hilbert Youse had eleven Children: Sarah Youse, Carrie Youse, Flora Victoria Youse Lyons, Alonza Wellington Youse, Lizzy M. Youse, Ulius J.
