Description	:	Mrs Walter Jackson passed away at her home in this city Saturday morning after having been bedfast for only two days. She had been ailing since April when she suffered a paralytic stroke, followed by a second and more sever stroke in May. Mrs Jackson, whose maiden name was Amanda Shrope, was born March 12, 1856 at Harrisburg, PA, coming with her parents to Iowa and settling at Mechanicsville, where she lived until her married to Walter Jackson, which occurred on December 21, 1874. Mrs Jackson, whose maiden name was Amanda Shrope, was born March 12, 1856 at Harrisburg, PA, coming with her parents to Iowa and settling at Mechanicsville, where she lived until her married to Walter Jackson, which occurred on December 21, 1874. They lived in Cedar county for then years and then moved to Rhodes, where they made their home until 1906, when they moved to this city. Their Golden Wedding Anniversary was observed on December 21, 1924. Six children were born to Mr and Mrs Jackson, four of whom, with the father, survive. They are William A of Sedalia, MO, Edwin M of State Center, and Mrs Harvey Reingardt of Marshalltown. Two sisters and a brother, Mrs Mary Cole of Shelby, and Miss Emma Shrope and Albert Shrope of Sedalia, and seven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. The funeral services were held at the Jackson home on Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and from the Presbyterian Church, with Rev William Roberts, pastor of the Associated Churches in charge. Burial was in the Rhodes cemetery. August 31, 1933 State Center Enterprise.
