Oct. 3. -(Special-A. C. Willis, seventy, a prominent resident of this city for many years, and the father of Mrs. Grace Bonam, of Huntington, died at 5:15 o'clock this morning at his home, 303 First street following an illness of four years duration of a tumor of the bladder. Mr. Willis was born in Wabash county. December 20, 1860, to Amzie R. and Fannie Willis. His marriage to Lizzie Krumanacker took place in Huntington on October 2, 1885. She died several years ago. Mr. Willis is survived by the following children, Benjamin Willis, of this city; Mrs. Grace Bonam, of Huntington; Paul Willis, of Cincinnati, 0.; Mrs. William Fulton, of this city: Mrs. Myron Dunbar, of this city; Mrs. James Johnson, of this city, and Mrs. Ernest Swalm of Bippus. Two children, Walter and Beatrice, are dead. One brother, Edward Willis, of Huntington, and one sister, Mrs.Frank Davis, of Elwood, and ten grandchildren also survive. Mr. Willis was a member of the Masonic lodge and of the Knights of Pythias lodge. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the residence on First street with the Rev. Homer Ogle, pastor of the Lutheran church, in charge. Burial will be at Oaklawn cemetery. Bender Funeral Home Records: WILLIS, Amasa C. Born in Indiana December 20, 1861, the son of Amasa Reed and Fanny (Bloomer) Willis, both born in Ind.; married Elizabeth; a laborer, he lived and died in North Manchester October 3, 1931, at age 70-9-13. Services at home with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery.
