Description	:	AMELIA GREENFIELD RHOADES Amelia Greenfield, daughter of Malora and Sarah Greenfield, was born March19,1875 at Smartville, Neb. and departed this life at the Oxford hospital March 21, 1941 at the age of 66 years and 2 days. She hadsuffered with heart trouble for several years and was removed to the hospital last week after being bedfast for a month . Whena small child the family moved to Phillips Co., Kans. andthere she greww to womanhood. She married to William J. Rhoades at Alma, Nebr. July 31, 1893. To this union ten children were born, five of whom mourn the loss of their mother. She was preceded indeath by her father and mother and five children, namely Mrs. Alice Hamilton, Mrs. Etta Ogen; Grace, Hazel and Laurence Rhoades. On Dec. 26, 1937 the husband and father passed away at Harlan,Kan., following auto accident. The deceased lived for several years in Oxford, but since 1936, the home has been in Orleans. She is survived by five children, Mrs. Mrs. Elisabveth Price of Morocco, Ind.,Mrs. Ethel Harrington of Orleans; Guy, of Rensalaer, Ind; Clyde of Orleans; Charlie of Oxfor; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Mable Cook, of Harlan, Kans. twelve grandchildren, including three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters and one brother, and numerous other relatives. Mrs. Rhoades was kind patient mother, loving her home and children above all else. Her presence will be greatly missed among her children and friends. Funeral services were held at the Methodist churcdh, Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. with Rev. Foster in charge. Interment was made at Republican City, Nebr.
