Description	:	Amelia Brewer, Formoso, died in a Washington, Kan., hospital Wednesday, Oct. 21. Aug. 18, 1890, she was born to John and Brita Soder in Morris County near White City, Kan. She attended Milrose School and was baptized and confirmed at the Marion Hill Lutheran Church. As a young girl, she worked in Clay Center, but went to Jewell County to help at the birth of a niece. It was at a social event in Omio, a town south of Formoso, she met Elmer Curtis Brewer. They were married Jan. 3, 1911, at Formoso where they lived their entire life.... She attended Milrose School and was baptized and confirmed at the Marion Hill Lutheran Church. As a young girl, she worked in Clay Center, but went to Jewell County to help at the birth of a niece. Her husband was a barber for more than 50 years. He died in 1962. Later she sold her home and lived in Clay Center where she attended the Wesleyan Church. Health problems necessitated a stay in Mankato Long Term Care and the Linn Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband; her father, who died on a visit to Sweden, and is buried there beside an infant sister, Brita; her mother; brother, Hugo Soder; sister, Tacka Hunt; a niece, Della Kier; and a nephew, Chet Hunt. Survivors include families of the above. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center. Superior Express, Thursday, October 29, 1987
