She was the first child to be born in Colfax, Washington, after the Baker family relocated from Hartford City, Indiana in 1902 with nine children. Mickey grew up in Colfax and attended local schools. She was married in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 11, 1943 to Richard Marion Richardson of Pullman, Washington. The couple divorced five years later and did not have children.
