Amy Amelia Knuth passed away at the age of 91 on December 25, 2011 at home in Emmett, Idaho. She was born pril 18, 1920on a farm 1 1/2 miles west and 1 north of Crieghton, Nebraska known as Mars Community. Born to Robert Edward and Louise (Ickler) Faith, she was one of nine children, 6 boys and three girls. She attended school at the Mars School District #28 through the 8th grade. After which she worked for neighbors and friends as well as Jacobs Bakery and Shelhamers. During WWII with her brothers gone to war, she and her sister Bertha returned home to help tjeir parents with the farming. January 22, 1950 she married Kermit H. Knuth. They farmed for 3 years before moving to Western Nebraska, Scottsbluff County. Here she managed a thrift store and cared for their three children. In 1956 the family moved to Southern California where she resided until 2009. At this time, she moved to Emmett, Idaho to live with her son and daughter-in-law. Amy found enjoyment in life through what might seem simple to most...Gardening, playing cards, reading and writing letters, being with friends and family and most of all, special times with her sister Bertha (Faith) Mlady. She was a thoughtful mother, patient wife, dedicated friend and Christian. She is survived by her son KEVIN E. Knuth, daughter-in-law Sandra J. Knuth, daughter Catherine Burnside, greandsons Kyle D. Knuth, Brian T. Knuth, Eric M. Knuth,and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters, her husband Kermitt H. Knuth and oldest son Thomas C, Knuth.
