Burial was at the Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Pallbearers were her children and their spouses. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren. Bertha died unexpectedly Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the Knox County Fair in Bloomfield. The youngest daughter of Robert and Louisa (Ickler) Faith was born west of Creighton on March 30, 1924. Bertha was baptized, confirmed and a life long member of the First Trinity Church in Bloomfield. She graduated from school at Mars District #28, west of Creighton. During her lifetime, she was a member of the Busy Homemakers Extension Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Knox County Democrats, Rolling Hills Ladies Card Club, Bloomfield women's Club and Bloomfield Senior Citizens. She served on the Knox County Election Board, was an Assistant Leader of the Nimble Thimble 4-H Club and a Past Superintendent of the Open Class Textile Exhibits at the Knox County Fair. She was a child of the Great Depression and supported the WWII effort. She devoted her life to her husband and family and excelled at sewing, crocheting, cake decoration, baking, needlework, polka dancing and card playing. Survivors include three daughters, Glenda Reimer of Alexandria, Virginia; Terry Boecker of Battle Creek, Sandra Wilken of Bloomfield; sons-in-law, Leon Boecker and Dean Wilken; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Amy Knuth, Rowland Heights, CA; sisters-in-law, Norma Faith, Morrill, NE, Lottie Faith and Helen Hansen and brother-in-law, Orville Hansen, all of Creighton and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Gail in 2004, her parents; eight brothers and one sister.
