Inurnment will be in Newcastle Cemetery, Newcastle, Neb.e. Andrea was born on Aug. 27, 1939, in Newcastle, Neb., to Jack and Clara (Lofgren) Conrad. She graduated from Newcastle High School, Wayne State College, and received her master's degree in education from Morningside College. Before attending Wayne State, she worked for Iowa Senator Charles B. Hoeven in Washington, D.C. After college, she worked for many years as a second grade teacher at E.N. Swett Elementary School in South Sioux City. Andrea volunteered for the Civil Air Patrol for several years. She was a member of First Evangelical Free Church and was active in the music department at the churches she attended, often playing the piano. She enjoyed family gatherings and getting together with her cousins. Those left to honor her memory include her sister, Jean Armstrong of Ponca, Neb.; brother, J.C. Conrad of Lincoln, Neb.; lifelong friend, Hedda Dekker of South Sioux City; sister-in-law, Beverly Conrad of Yankton, S.D.; nine nieces and nephews; and several great-grand and grandnieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Darrel Conrad; nephew, Kenny Conrad in infancy; and brother-in-law, Ross Armstrong.
