Description	:	Thunder Hawk area farmer and Lemmon Businessman. He was born in Schleswig, Iowa. The family later moved to Minnesota and than to South Dakota to homestead South of Keldron in Corson County. Andrew attended a rural school completing the fourth grade. At an early age began working on the family farm. At the age of 18 he left home and began working for neighbors, than later began his own farming operation and moving houses. Andrew attended a rural school completing the fourth grade. At an early age began working on the family farm. At the age of 18 he left home and began working for neighbors, than later began his own farming operation and moving houses. He married Mary Demanowski on October 5, 1925 at Mcintosh, SD. During the depression years he would work in Oregon in the logging industry. He continued to farm near Thunder Hawk for many years and in 1948 began investing in property in Lemmon. In 1955, he began to build the Lemmon Truck Stop and operate his own trucks, hauling fuel to the station. He continued to operate his rental properties until the 1980 when he gradually began to retire. He died in the shop next to his home in Lemmon. He had been spending time in his shop when shelving, holding metal piping and supplies collapsed and pinned him beneath the debris.
