The black top paving west of Buckley claimed a victim last Monday night when A.B. Nelsen, 60, retired Enumclaw business man drove off the paving, his car turning over and killing him. Just how the accident happened no one knows. According to Wm. Ross, state highway patrolman for this section, it was evident that the car had not skidded and that he was not crowded off the road. The accident occurred near the Tony Albert place. Mr. Nelsen was subject to attacks of dizziness and it [sic] Mr. Ross's theory that Mr. Nelsen suffered one of these attacks, lost control of the car and it went into the ditch and turned over on him. The accident happened about 7:30 o'clock in the evening. The body was taken immediately to the J.F. Jones Funeral Home and later sent to Enumclaw. Mr. Nelsen had lived at Enumclaw for the past 40 years and had been active in the fraternal organizations of that town. He is survived by two sons, Walter of Seattle and Henry of Yakima, a daughter Mrs. Carl Larum of Enumclaw.
