Description	:	This obituary was provided by Barbara MacLeish; a decendant of Andrew Christiansen. It is from the Montrose Journal of Friday, 28 September 1900. At his residence in this city Tuesday morning, occurred the death of Andrew Christianson, aged 57 years, 1 month and 23 days, of malarial fever. He had been working in Green Bay and came home Saturday feeling unwell. He gradually grew worse and passed away Tuesday as above stated. He was a native of Denmark and located in Montrose in 1883. At his residence in this city Tuesday morning, occurred the death of Andrew Christianson, aged 57 years, 1 month and 23 days, of malarial fever. He had been working in Green Bay and came home Saturday feeling unwell. He gradually grew worse and passed away Tuesday as above stated. He was a native of Denmark and located in Montrose in 1883. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow and eight chioldren as follows: Mary, Annie, Nannie, Chris, Egner, Daisy, John and Dorathea. He was a man much regarded for his sterling qualities and his devotion to his family, with whom the whole community mourns in its irreparable loss. The funeral was conducted by Wm. Brown on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Trinity M.E. church. The remains were interred in Montrose cemetery.
