She came to the United States when she was 32 years old. She came to Keokuk, Iowa, and was married to Andrew Christensen, in September, 1879. To their union, eight children were born. Three sons and five daughters. Her husband departed this life September 25, 1900. One son, John, and three daughters, Nannie, Daisy and Dorothy, have passed away. She came to Keokuk, Iowa, and was married to Andrew Christensen, in September, 1879. To their union, eight children were born. Three sons and five daughters. Her husband departed this life September 25, 1900. One son, John, and three daughters, Nannie, Daisy and Dorothy, have passed away. She is survived by two sons, Chris, whose home. is in the state of Alabama, and Egner, of Montrose, two daughters Mrs. Mary Wharton and Mrs. Anna Conlee, who reside near Montrose, also ten grandchildren. In her native country she was a member of the Lutheran Church. Since coming to Iowa she has attended the Methodist Episcopal Church. Her home has been in Montrose for over forty years. She died in Montrose June 22, 1921, aged 73 years, 10 months, 21 days. The funeral services were held in the M. E. Church, the Rev. G. W. Barber, Montrose, assisted by the Rev. Pleas Gray of Muscatine Friday at 2 p.m. Interment was made in the Montrose cemetery. The pall bearers were messrs, John Orth, G.H. Duty, J.W. Vanosdoll, Charles Vanosdoll. John Thomas, William Cooper.
