Description	:	Andrew H. Millard was born May 4, 1846 in Potter County, Penn. During his early boyhood his parents moved westward and settled where the city of Fon DuLac, Wisconsin now stands. Here he spent his boyhood and was married to Hannah Elizabeth Taylor, March 2nd, 1870. At once the young couple journeyed by wagon to Northwestern Iowa and took a homestead. They were among the earliest settler in Plymouth County near Sioux City. They remained on the homestead farm for thirty-nine years. There the family was reared. During his early boyhood his parents moved westward and settled where the city of Fon DuLac, Wisconsin now stands. Here he spent his boyhood and was married to Hannah Elizabeth Taylor, March 2nd, 1870. At once the young couple journeyed by wagon to Northwestern Iowa and took a homestead. They were among the earliest settler in Plymouth County near Sioux City. They remained on the homestead farm for thirty-nine years. There the family was reared. In March 1909 for the wife's health they came to Sidney but she was claimed by death in July of that year. Since then Mr. Millard has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. A.S. Ayle of our city. He was suddenly called to the world above Monday. He was the happy father of seven children, Henry H. Millard of Washington, D.C. who is in the employ of the government and spent the war period in Paris; Nancy B. Beldin of Spokane, Washington; Maud B. Benton of Aberdeen, South Dakota; Orpha Noble of Struble, Iowa; Chas. R. Millard of San Francisco, California; Guy W. Millard of LeMars, Iowa; and Mrs. Kate E. Ayle of Sidney, all of whom are living. He is survived by two brothers, H.H. Millard of Summit, South Dak., and A.C. Millard of Fon DuLac, Wisconsin. He was a proud grandfather leaving thirty-three grand children and one great grand child. His religious faith was his Bible. He was an attendant and helper of the M.E. Church. Since removing to Sidney he retired from the active duties of life and made frequent visits with his friends and relatives. After a very brief illness his heart suddenly failed him last Monday at two p.m. Mrs. O. Beldin of Spokane, Mrs. A.R. Noble of Struble, Iowa and Chas. R. Millard of San Francisco, California are on their way to attend the funeral services to be held at the home of Mrs. A.F. Ayle this Friday at two p.m.--The Telegraph, Friday, April 18, 1919, Pg. 2
