Rising, 42, died suddenly at his home, two and one-half miles south of Homer, at 11:00 o'clock last evening. ---He was born February 23, 1912, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rising. All his life was spent in this vicinity. ---He was graduated from Homer high school in 1931 and on December 11, 1937 he was married to Miss Dorothy Andrews. Rising, 42, died suddenly at his home, two and one-half miles south of Homer, at 11:00 o'clock last evening. ---He was born February 23, 1912, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rising. All his life was spent in this vicinity. ---He was graduated from Homer high school in 1931 and on December 11, 1937 he was married to Miss Dorothy Andrews. He had been employed at the Howard Andrews Implement Co. until one year ago when he began farming. ---Surviving besides his wife and parents are two daughters, Andrea and Barbara, at home; one brother, Charles Rising of Cucamonga, Calif.; six sisters, Mrs. Herbert Halsey of Cucamonga, Mrs. Paul Rowland of Marshall, Mrs. Stanley Orwig of Benton Harbor, and Mrs. Wilford Lawrence, Mrs. Don Ambler and Mrs. Ivan Fast, all of Homer. ---Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Rising, 42, who died suddenly Friday evening about 11:00 o'clock, following a heart attack, were held at the Westbrook funeral home here Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with the Rev. Merle G. Benson of the Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Fairview cemeteyr,[sic] Homer.
