Andrew Jarvis Hogue, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hogue, was born in Amesville, Ohio, March 26, 1879, and died at Urie, Wyoming October 16, 1947 at the age of 68 years, 6 months and 20 days. He left Ohio early in 1902 and located in McLouth, Kansas. He was united in marriage with Sarah Florence Wright, Sept. 6th, 1906. Four children were born to them. They moved to Arnolds Park, Iowa in 1913, and have lived here most of the time since then. The past five years they have spent the winters in California with their children, returning to the lake region for the summers. They were on their way to California when he was stricken with a heart attack which caused his death. Mr. Hogue was honorable in his dealings with his fellow men, and made many friends. He was well liked by all who knew him. His four children, 2 sons and 2 daughters are living in California. They are Fordie of Compton, Calif., Dale of Wilmington, Calif., Mrs. Rhoda Harmon of Manteca, Calif., and Mrs. Harold Walbridge of Wilmington, Calif. His mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Perry preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of the Park, his four children: Fordie T. and Dale, Mrs. Rhoda Harmon and Mrs. Mildred Walbridge, four grandchildren, Andrew C. and Thomas Roy Hogue, Nancy Lynn Hogue and Mickie Diann Holbridge, two half sisters and one brother of Athens, Ohio, and other relatives and many friends. *Obituary is published in the Milford Mail, Oct. 23, 1947. ----------- Headstone photo requested by: Melissa Busch ---------
