Anderson Dies At Age 81 Andrew John Anderson, 81, a Swedish native who had lived in Ottumwa 40 years, died at 1:10 a.m. today at his home, 1325 West Second street. He was the son of Eric and Elizabeth Anderson, born in Sweden February 29, 1860. Three sisters and a brother and a daughter, Ollie Elkins, preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Nora, and three grandchildren. Mr. Anderson was a painter by trade. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Open Bible church, conducted by Donald Forbes, assisted by the Rev. L.E. Welshons. The body is at the Carroll Reece funeral home, where it will remain until Saturday noon, when it will be taken to the home before the services.
