He died in Eureka, Kansas, September 30, 1952 at the age of 91 years, 7 months, and 6 days. He married Rosa James in 1881. They had ten children, five of whom died in infancy. George died in April of 1949. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka, Kansas.
