The couple made their home in Contra Costa county near Brentwood, where they were growers; owners of a large orchard. They produced varieties of fruit, including apricots. He was buried in Shasta, California, and shares the plot of his wife's family at the Masonic Cemetery. His unusual marker lies between the headstones of Nellie and George. Myrle remarried to widower Clyde Mooers of Brentwood, whose spouse passed away in 1949. Mr. Mooers died in 1975 and was buried with his first wife in Brentwood. Myrle remained there until her death in 1986, after which she was brought to Shasta. She was buried at the foot of Andrew's grave, near her parents.
