Burgess, 82, a former resident of Nottingham Township whose home was at Wolcotville, died at 11:40 Saturday morning at the Williams Convalescent Home at Butler following an illness of two years. Born in Wells County, June 28, 1872, a son of Richard and Deborah Stout Burgess, his marriage was to Emma Kizer whose death occurred Aug. 4, 1927. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Carl E. Four brothers, Edward, Henson, Samuel and Richard Jr., are deceased. The body was taken to the Thoma Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1:30 this afternoon.
