Read More	The Daily Reporter, Martinsville, Indiana, Friday, April 12, 1929: "DEATH SUMMONS COMES TO WELL KNOWN FARMER --------- ANDREW SHIREMAN PASSED AWAY EARLY THIS MORNING AT HIS HOME SOUTH OF THIS CITY --------- Andrew Shireman, one of the best known farmers of Washington township, died at six o'clock this morning at his home south of this city on the Dixie highway. Mr. Shireman had been ill for some time. The best of medical care was given him but all to no avail. His death came as a shock to his relatives, and the news was received with sincere regret by all who knew him. Mr. Shireman was 67 years of age and had spent most of his life in this community. He was a successful farmer and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Miss Gertrude Shireman, at home, and Mrs. Harvey Maxwell, and one son, Claud Shireman, at home. Other surviving relatives are one sister, Miss Margaret Shireman, this city, three brothers, Robert and Edward Shireman, this city, and Arch Shireman, of Washington township, and two grandsons, Paul and Emmett Maxwell, who had spent much time in the Shireman home since the death of their mother and to whom Mr. Shireman was deeply attached. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at Sand Creek church. The burial will be in the cemetery by the church." G. Wakeman of Mooresville. The funeral hymns, "In The Garden" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," were sung by a quartet composed of C. B. Huff, R. N. Tilford, Harry Hendrickson and Ray Curtis.
