Married: 11/20/1904 to Bessie Vandiver (1885-1967). 4.) Anna "Blanche" Shireman B: 8/10/1883 - D: 8/15/1965. Married: 9/21/1904 to William Cyrus Darrell (1879-1957). 5.) Maggie "Bernice" Shireman B: 3/20/1886 - D: June 25, 1925. Married 8/29/1906 to Fred Lee Perry (1883-1945). Buried: Sand Creek Cemetery, Morgan County, Indiana. 6.) Sara "Ruby" Shireman B: 7/28/1889 - D: 6/26/1968. Buried: Sand Creek Cemetery. Married 7/14/1910 to Walter Williams of Mooresville, IN. Divorced by early 1912.. Walter was an only child and would not leave his parents farm nor buildt a separate home on his parents farm. Ruby's Mother-in-law treated Ruby like a Maid and in early June 1911, Ruby walked back home to her parents along with her Pony, Cows and Sheep. Numerous times, she, her father and uncle tried to talk Walter into building a separate home for them. However, Walter would not come in from the fields to discuss the matter. Ruby took back her maiden name and remained on her parents farm raising her niece Miss Emma "Frances" Perry after her sister Blanche died in 1925 when Frances was 7 years old. Frances older brother, Maurice was 15 yrs old and remained with his father. Thus, Arch's farm passed from his daugther Ruby to his granddaughter Frances, who never married and is buried next to her mother in Sand Creek. In 1996, Frances's Estate was sold for the developement of "Morgan Trails Subdivision" that sits surrounding Sand Creek Cemetery. Arch contributed land to Sand Creek in the late 1800's. All this land was originally purchased from the United States Government in August 16, 1823 by David Avery (1799-1874), the Grandfather of Mrs. Archibald Shireman (Emma Catherine Avery). David and both of his wives are also buried at Sand Creek Cemetery.
