Barr were held this afternoon at the Huffman Funerai home, conducted by the Rev. Henry G. Schneider, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. A quartet composed of Mrs. Romayne K Huffman, Miss Aimee B. Hodge, Dr. E.W. Martin and J.C. Schwarzenbach sang "Lead Kindly Light" and "Saved by Grace". Mrs. Carson Summers was the accompanist. Pascoe; Albert J. Graham, Homer Stratemeyer, T.B. Wills, and Frank Beiter. Andrew Thompson Barr, was born at Ballanafad, Ontario, Canada, Aug. 28, 1868 and died Dec. 26, 1932, at Winnetoon, Neb. When he was two years old his mother died and in 1873 his father brought him to Carroll. Here his father Matthew Barr and Mary Gardner Hunter were married and the family home was established five-mile west of Carroll. In this home Andrew, grew to manhood. For a number of years he engaged in farming in Arcadia township, moving in 1902 to Nebraska, where he took up the trade of a building contractor and followed this occupation until the time of his death. For the last 18 years he had been a resident of Winnetoon. Blessed with an even disposition and kindly nature he made staunch friends with all those with whom he came in contact. He will be well remembered by the older residents of Carroll county, especially by those of the Beulah neighborhood where the early years of his life were spent. Andrew Barr was never married. He is survived by the mother, Mrs. Mary Barr, of Wells, Minn., four sisters, Mrs. Harry Shortill, of Ballanfad, Canada, and Mrs. Jane Snyder, of Toronto Canada, Mrs. F.A. Myers, of Carroll and Mrs. R.N. Pascoe, of Rockwell City, and two brothers, Dr. W.H. Barr and Mr & Mrs M.R. Barr, Jr., of Wells, Minn. Relatives who attended the funeral were Dr. and Mrs. W.H. Barr and Mr. and Mrs. M.R. Barr, jr., of Wells, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. R.N. Pascoe and daughters, Miss Lois and Miss Yvonne Pascoe, of Rockwell City, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Myers of Sioux City.
