He was married to Amalie Most. Their son: Andrew Schropfer. ------------------- SCHROPFER, ANDREW W.—Andrew W. Schropfer, the son of Andreas and Faustena Nun Schropfer, was born October, 6, 1872, near Ohiowa, Neb. He grew to manhood in the home community, attending the local school. February 27, 1900, he was united in marriage to Miss Amelia Most. Two sons, George and Edward were born to this home. Both remain to share the loss in their father’s departure. Mr. and Mrs. Schropfer began life together on a farm in the home community, which they operated until 1909. At that time they moved to the farm three miles west of Geneva, where they lived until 1932, when they retired from the farm and moved to Geneva. Mrs. Schropfer passed away in November, 1949, after an illness in which she was tenderly cared for by her husband. Mr. Schropfer suffered a heart attack about two weeks ago. November 1st he was again stricken so severely that death came before help could be summoned. He had reached the good age of 79 years and 28 days. Of the family of seven, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Peppie and Mrs. Minnie Koahler, remain with the sons and three grandchildren, Mary Ellen, Dean and Francis Schropfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Joe and Antonie Schropfer, and two sisters, Anna Schropfer and Mrs. Maggie Strauss. A kind husband, thoughtful father, proud grandfather and helpful neighbor, he has finished his course of life. The good wrought by the wise investments of his efforts in the causes of human good, will live long to approve this life nobly lived. The funeral was conducted at the Hrubesky-Farmer funeral home Saturday, November 3, at 2 p. m., with Rev. William G Bohi officiating. Mrs. H. A. Rosenau sang two solos with Mrs. F. M.
