Her mother Mrs. Harriet Landthrip, sister’s Mesdames Wid Vaughn, Groverer Adhine, Mattie Overley and Miss Vera Landthrip, brothers Will Alfred and Charley, besides numerous relations and friends. A long procession of mourning friends followed the remains to the last resting place at Mt. Airy, where after a short ceremony conducted by Messrs George Bean and Henry King, all that was left of the well-loved friend and neighbor was laid away. While the grave was being filled the whole gathering joined in singing “We Shall Meet Beyond the River”, after which loving hands covered the brown mound with floral offerings until it was a beautiful mass of flowers. Mrs. Garner leaves behind her the legacy of a beautiful life, quietly and nobly lived. “Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God”.
