She was married to Oran Wayne Faris on October 23, 1912 in Seymour, Iowa. ___________________________________________________________ Angeline E. Faris Obituary Angeline (Angie) E. Faris, Daughter of Winfield S. and Annie Lewis Evans, was born near Seymour, Iowa June 7, 1890. She passed away at the Wayne County Hospital April 26, 1985 at the age of 94 years 10 months and 19 days. After completing public school she graduated from Promise City High School. On October 23, 1912 Angie was united in marriage to Wayne Faris and to this union was born a son, Evans. Angie and her husband lived many years on a farm southwest of Seymour and later moved to Seymour to make their home. She changed her membership from Antioch Church to the Seymour Christian Church where she was very active as long as her health permitted. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and church activities. Preceding Angie in death was her husband Wayne in 1960, son Evans in 1965, parents, two brothers Glen Evans and Hiram Evans, and three sisters, Sylvia Whitmore, Hattie Gaddis, and Winifred Ruby. Left to mourn her passing is a daughter-in-law, Reva Faris or Seymour, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She resided in the Seymour Care Center over three years. Angie loved life, her cheery smile, her fine sense of humor and interest in everyone made her the center of a great friendship and she will be missed by many relatives and friends. Services were held Monday, April 29, 1985 at 1:30 P.M. from the Randolph Funeral Home in Seymour with bob Spurgeon officiating. Hymns, “How Great Thou Art” and “Precious Memories” were sung by Milton Albertson and accompanist was Mrs. Iris Merritt. Pallbearers were Raymond Hickerson, Jennings Green. Bob Schaffner, John Birdwell, Ted Hickerson, and Ronnie Banks. Interment was in Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour. There was a memorial to the First Christian Church in Seymour. Funeral services were held from the Randolph Funeral home Monday with burial in Southlawn Cemetery. A complete obituary is elsewhere in this issue of The Herald.
