Description	:	OTTUMWA--Anita Joeline "Jo" Denniston, 79, of 910 W. Second St. passed away at 1:50 a.m. December 21, 2015, at Hospice House in Ottumwa. She was born January 20, 1936, in Rock Island, to Thomas and Lydia Swope Songer. She married William G. "Bill" Denniston on December 29, 1955. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2014. Surviving are a daughter, Diana (Les) Leonard of Ottumwa; a son Mike Denniston of Ottumwa; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Denniston; siblings, Cathy (Jerry) Weilbrenner, Mert Weilbrenner, Mike Songer, all of Ottumwa, Connie (Dan) Orona of Carlisle and Don (Char) Songer of Bullhead City, Arizona; two sister-in-law,... She was born January 20, 1936, in Rock Island, to Thomas and Lydia Swope Songer. She married William G. "Bill" Denniston on December 29, 1955. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2014. Surviving are a daughter, Diana (Les) Leonard of Ottumwa; a son Mike Denniston of Ottumwa; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Denniston; siblings, Cathy (Jerry) Weilbrenner, Mert Weilbrenner, Mike Songer, all of Ottumwa, Connie (Dan) Orona of Carlisle and Don (Char) Songer of Bullhead City, Arizona; two sister-in-law, Judy Songer and Shirley Breckenridge, both of Ottumwa; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, William; and two brothers, Butch Songer and Bob Breckenridge. Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Reeces Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice serving Davis & Wapello Counties, 927 Pennsylvannia Ave. Ottumwa, Iowa 52501.
