Anita was born in Willey, Iowa on August 18, 1927, the eldest of two daughters and five sons born to Bernard, Sr. and Anna (Neppel) Pletchette. Following high school Anita worked as a cartographer in Washington, D.C., returning to Iowa following the end of World War II. Anita was born in Willey, Iowa on August 18, 1927, the eldest of two daughters and five sons born to Bernard, Sr. and Anna (Neppel) Pletchette. Having met Albert Dorski while attending business college, the two were married in 1962. Al and Anita enjoyed many happy years together, golfing, gardening, volunteering at the Des Moines Art Center and traveling the country. They lived for each other. Anita was preceded in death by husband Al; brothers Eugene, Ronald, Bernard Jr. and Leon Pletchette; sister Freda Pletchette and sister-in-law StafkaVanKurin. She is survived by a brother, Edward Pletchette, a nephew and several nieces.
