Miss Pletchette, 82, died Monday, June 23, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. The Rev. James McCormick will preside at the Mass. Lector will be Lori Schreck. Gift bearers will be Theresa and Amy Greving. Servers will be Colin and Alyson Schreck. Eucharistic ministers will be Lorena Grossman and Mary Schreck. Casket bearers will be Mark Schreck, Keith Schreck, Chase Schreck, Larry Greving, Ed Tigges and Randy Huegerich. The Carroll Catholic Daughters of the Americas will have an honor guard. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery at Willey. Visitation starts at 2:30 and the Catholic Daughters will lead a rosary at 3 Thursday afternoon at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. St. Mary Parish will hold a Christian wake service at 7 Thursday night at the funeral home. A daughter of Bernard Sr. and Anna (Neppel) Pletchette, she was born Oct. 27, 1925, at Willey, attended St. Mary School there and spent her younger years in the community. She attended Capital City Commercial College at Des Moines. At age 19 she moved to Washington D.C., and worked for the U.S. Census Bureau. She was a fiscal clerk for the U.S. Department of Agriculture at the Federal Building in Des Moines from 1953 until retiring in September 1983. She then returned to Willey and worked as a nanny for managers of the Carroll airport and later the Larry and Theresa Greving family. She also served as Willey city clerk. She moved to St. Anthony Nursing Home in December 2005. Miss Pletchette was a member of St. Mary Parish and Ladies Guild, the Catholic Daughters and Dedham American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, baking and organizing gatherings for her family and her Willey neighborhood. Survivors include two brothers: Leon Pletchette of Carroll and Edward Pletchette of Willey; a sister, Anita Dorski, and her husband, Al, of Des Moines; and two nieces: Susan Cornelius and husband Dan of Lake City and Rhonda Ford of Rockwell City. Miss Pletchette was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers: Eugene, Ronald and Bernard Pletchette.
